Hazardous Software

February 11th, 2006

Have you ever heard of software code that, because of inefficiencies in the way it’s written, dumps zillions of tons of mercury directly into the environment? Well, now you have.

It looks like half of existing installed PCs will not be able to run Microsoft’s new Vista version of Windows. This release has gotten attention primarily because of the way it looks, which is nice, but not worth throwing out your machine for (or seeing a huge drop in performance on your current one).

Microsoft could really win some loyalty points with customers by focusing on quality, not features or appearance.
