Xmas Eve
It’s the day before Christmas and the neighbors behind my house are out on their deck, listening to some reggae (turned up loud enough for all of us to enjoy).
You know, I’m not big on Christmas anymore. In fact I have totally divested myself of the festivities. I have bought no gifts this year and I am taking no time off.
But I realize now that there must still be some place in my heart for Christmas, because I do, at least, hope and pray with all my heart for it to be one simple thing: a day without reggae.

Dude, what’s with all the home/auto/car/personal/payday loan comment spam on “wagner versus das sinkhole?” (See sidebar.) That’s not good. Or am I missing something?

They were spam. The moderation tool in Wordpress was deleting them from the post pages but for some reason they kept showing up on the homepage “recent comments.” I’ve manually yanked them from the db now and am checking into why it didn’t work right in the first place.
